I’m Leanne, a Somatic & Identity Coach, Business Identity & Brand Consultant, mum and founder of HELD and BRHAIVE. I support people to reconnect with themselves through somatic and identity work, with a special focus on women’s cycles, motherhood and changing life stages. Alongside this, I help people build a clear business identity and bring their brand to life through branding and websites.

From BRAVEHEAD to BRHAIVE and HELD, wellbeing has always been part of my story. Building a business, becoming a mum and reconnecting with myself brought me to the work I share today.

I started as an apprentice at 17 in the very same salon that would one day become mine. Seven years later, I returned to that exact space and built BRHAIVE. From learning my craft there to creating my own brand within its walls, I had come full circle.

I became self-employed with BRAVEHEAD Hair Design. The name carried a message that mattered to me: being brave enough to acknowledge your needs and make room for care. Wellbeing was already part of the journey, even before I knew where it would lead.

I loved adding personal touches to my services. A warm welcome, a drink and time to feel looked after were part of the experience. I wanted people to leave feeling cared for, as well as loving their hair.

Healthy hair and helping clients understand their own care mattered to me. I loved sharing my knowledge, building trust and giving people confidence in what they could do for themselves.

My love of styling took me into the bridal industry. I began developing a presence beyond the salon, learning how to communicate what I offered and create a recognisable experience.

I shared tutorials and educational videos online. As my profile grew, I learnt how much clear communication, consistency and showing up as yourself could help people connect with a business.

Teaching others how to style their hair brought another part of me forward. I loved supporting people to try something new, build confidence and recognise what they were capable of.

Supporting charities became part of my business journey too. Connection and care reached beyond the appointment; I wanted the business to have a positive place in its community.

Alongside building my business, I was exploring my own wellbeing. I became drawn to self-care, reflection and understanding what I needed. The business was growing, and so was my relationship with myself.

With early branding support from Tim Marner Ltd, BRAVEHEAD grew into BRHAIVE, pronounced “brave”: hair in its heart and brave at its soul. Tim’s creativity and approach became an iconic inspiration throughout my years of building businesses.

I opened BRHAIVE in the place where I had first trained. My vision was to shake up the hair industry with a spa-like experience where hair, care and wellbeing came together. I was building a brand around how people felt.

Seeing BRHAIVE’s opening in the local press was a proud moment. An idea I had carried had become a real place, with its own name, identity and welcome.

I designed the salon as a self-care sanctuary: friendly, inviting and welcoming. Wellbeing was woven into the space, the language and the experience, rather than being something added later.

BRHAIVE became a recognised brand and a community around care, wellbeing and connection. Building that identity taught me that a brand lives in the whole experience, from the team to the way people feel when they walk through the door.

My business journey brought press coverage and award recognition. Those moments reflected years of developing the brand, caring about the customer experience and continuing to grow as a business owner.

I began collaborating with wellbeing practitioners and creating an environment that encouraged people to care for themselves. The message behind BRAVEHEAD was becoming a fuller experience through BRHAIVE.

I created BRHAIVE affirmation cards as another expression of that message. Self-love, positivity and care became part of the brand’s voice, as well as the services and space.

My own wellbeing journey continued alongside the business. I explored Reiki and spiritual healing, and trained in Reiki Levels 1 and 2 before moving into the somatic and identity work I do today.

Through the bridal industry I met a future business partner, role model and friend. We collaborated for five years before building BRHAIVE Weddings & Events together, bringing our experience and ideas into a shared business.

We launched a dedicated wedding hair and makeup company with its own identity. It was another opportunity to build a brand, shape an offering and create an experience people could recognise.

The wedding business grew quickly. We moved from collaborating on a few weddings each year to taking on 50 in our first year. The growth was exciting, and it brought new responsibility for our time, team and standards.

Our first European wedding took BRHAIVE Weddings & Events into destination work. It was a memorable step in the journey, delivering the experience we had built in a completely new setting.

Through BRHAIVE Weddings & Events, we worked with Rozz from Married at First Sight. Relationships and reputation opened new opportunities as the brand continued to grow.

Welcoming and working with celebrity clients, including Leanne Brown, became part of my BRHAIVE journey. Alongside music videos and fashion shows, these were moments I once dreamed of, built on years of developing my craft and brand.

BRHAIVE’s 2023 Salon Awards recognised Best Customer Experience and Best New or Refurbished Salon in Cheshire. It meant so much to see the care, environment and identity behind the brand recognised.

After two years and growing families, we reflected on how much time and energy the wedding business needed. We had grown to six artists in 12 months. I merged the weddings into the salon and continued the business, with gratitude for what we had created together and a friendship that remains.

I developed my own BRHAIVE haircare range and created its product branding. From packaging to the salon experience, I loved bringing a clear, recognisable identity into every detail.

Motherhood changed my life, my priorities and my sense of identity. I began to question how I wanted to spend my time and what I needed beyond the roles I carried.

That new chapter became part of the brand too. I created BRHAIVE Mama and its birthing rituals, extending the sense of care behind BRHAIVE into motherhood.

After returning from maternity leave, I was burnt out, struggling with grief and living in survival within my business. I had stretched myself so far that I became ill. When my skin condition stopped me from continuing hands-on hairdressing and headspa work, I needed time away from BRHAIVE.

I built the team, systems and standards that allowed BRHAIVE to run without relying on me working in it day to day. I could step back for much of the time, with a recognised brand and foundations ready to scale. That space also gave me room to begin understanding myself more deeply.

During my time away from BRHAIVE, I began exploring the work that would become this new chapter. I moved gently, learning to listen to my body, understand my nervous system and notice what I needed. Beneath the business owner and the constant doing, I began to meet myself again.

The BRHAIVE Method™ grew from my own journey back to myself. As I explored my identity, I began to find my truth and purpose: helping people reconnect, creating community and unity, bringing women together and deepening body awareness. Its name honours the place where that journey began.

After my C-section, I felt disconnected from my stomach and scar. Through somatic coaching, I began reconnecting with sensation, listening to my body and meeting it with more care. That personal experience helped shape the support I wanted to offer other mothers.

Training with SOMA School deepened my understanding of somatic coaching, cyclical awareness and the female nervous system. I became an accredited somatic and cyclical coach, bringing this learning into how I support women through motherhood and changing life stages.

My training gave me both knowledge and connection. Learning alongside this group of women became part of my own growth, with space to explore body awareness, our cycles and the ways we can support one another.

I now bring somatic work and cyclical awareness into support for mothers and people reconnecting with their bodies after surgery. We explore sensation, body awareness and changing needs gently, making space for each person’s experience and their own pace.

Helen Totton at Sacred Ground has supported my wellbeing journey from its early beginnings. Her mentorship, guidance and care have been an important part of my self-discovery. Beginning to deliver sessions together with the person who helped me start this journey has felt deeply meaningful.

Facilitating my first retreat felt like the start of something. Bringing people together through movement, somatic practices, reflection and connection helped me see the work coming to life. It gave me clarity about the spaces I wanted to keep creating.

The retreat became a place to be alongside one another, express ourselves and reconnect. Seeing women come together reinforced what sits at the core of my work: community, unity, body awareness and space to feel more ourselves.

My business identity work began by helping friends. I realised how closely personal and business identity could connect, and how much experience, knowledge and practical tools I had to share. I now help people bring a clear identity into their branding and websites, so their offering reflects who they are.

Through circles, sessions and retreats, I’m building a community that feels authentic to me. HELD is a place for connection and expression, where people can come together and explore their relationship with themselves, with others beside them.

HOLDING WOMEN THROUGH CHANGE
Motherhood can change your body, your time and your sense of who you are. After pregnancy and my C-section, I spent a long time feeling disconnected from my stomach and scar. Reconnecting was about more than accepting how I looked. I began to feel sensation again, listen to what my body needed and meet myself with more care.
That experience is part of why I want to hold space for women through pregnancy, postpartum and the many other changes we move through. If you’re a busy mum who has spent years putting yourself last, you deserve time to notice how you feel too.
In 1:1 coaching and circles, we can explore body awareness, identity, rest, boundaries and your own rhythms. There is room for the tenderness and complexity of your experience, without pressure to return to an old version of yourself.

A guided journey to understand your needs more clearly beneath the roles you carry, reconnect with your identity and explore what matters to you. I created this framework from my own journey through survival, nervous system regulation and personal change.
Move through audio teachings, reflection workbooks and practical somatic tools at a pace that fits around your life. Allow around three months for the full journey, with space to return to the work.
The full course is £777 and includes one two-hour 1:1 during your journey, with Klarna Pay in 3 available at checkout where eligible. After payment, access details will be sent to you.
